NFL vet claims orange-peel CBD ‘purer’ than cannabis or hemp-derived products

An NFL veteran has launched a CBD oil derived entirely from orange peel. Former San Francisco 49ers fullback Chris Hetherington, founder and CEO of the company Peels, says the process uses cyclic terpene assembly (CTA) to combine terpenes from orange peels with olive oil under heat and pressure in the presence of a catalyst to produce pure CBD.

“The result is crystalline CBD at a purity and consistency difficult to match with cannabis or hemp-derived material,” Hetherington told CBD-Intel.
