Hopes are up for CBD to get full UK FSA approval as a novel ingestible ingredient

Changes at the UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) have helped to move the process of CBD as a novel ingestible ingredient along to the point where a successful full approval can now be expected soon, according to one of the companies involved.

The FSA launched a consultation at the end of August on various aspects of the proposed approval of applications from three companies. The consultation, which is open to the public, is effectively asking whether respondents think the recommendations the FSA is proposing to ministers would make it safe for the products to then be approved.
